Our Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team has reached an agreement until the end of the season with our former player Nando De Colo (born 1987 – 1.96 m – G), who successfully wore our iconic striped jersey between 2019 and 2022 and played a major role in the achievements we earned during that period.

The French guard, who won the Turkish League title (2021–22) and the Turkish Cup (2019–20) with our striped jersey, will once again sweat for the success of Fenerbahçe Beko.

Who is Nando De Colo?

Nando De Colo was born on June 23, 1987, in Sainte-Catherine. He took his first steps into professional basketball with the French club Cholet, playing for the U20 team in the 2005–2006 season and earning a place on Cholet’s senior team starting from the 2006–2007 season. Wearing the Cholet jersey, De Colo averaged 14.9 points and 3.5 assists per game in the 2007–2008 season, followed by averages of 14.7 points and 3.3 assists in 2008–2009.

In the summer of 2009, Nando De Colo entered the NBA Draft and was selected 53rd overall by the San Antonio Spurs. In the same summer, he made one of the most important moves of his career by signing with Spanish side Valencia, where he played from 2009 to 2012.

De Colo’s first season with Valencia brought him a EuroCup championship. Playing alongside notable names such as Victor Claver, Kosta Perovic, Rafa Martínez, Matt Nielsen, and Thomas Kelati, De Colo won the first European title of his career in 2010. He was also named to the EuroCup All-First Team that season.

In the 2010–2011 season, De Colo made his EuroLeague debut. In a season where he appeared in 19 games, he averaged 10.1 points, 1.6 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game. The French star was also the most efficient free-throw shooter in the EuroLeague that season, recording an impressive 95.7% from the line.

In the summer of 2012, De Colo signed a two-year contract with the San Antonio Spurs, officially beginning his NBA career. He spent these two seasons with the San Antonio Spurs and their G League affiliate, the Austin Spurs, before finishing the 2014 season with the Toronto Raptors.

Between the 2014–2015 and 2018–2019 seasons, Nando De Colo played five consecutive seasons with CSKA Moscow, winning two EuroLeague titles (2016, 2019) and five VTB League championships (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019). During this period, he was named EuroLeague MVP in the 2015–2016 season and Final Four MVP in 2016. De Colo was selected to the EuroLeague All-First Team in the 2015–2016, 2016–2017, and 2017–2018 seasons, and to the All-Second Team in 2014–2015 and 2018–2019. In the 2015–2016 season, he also won the prestigious Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy, averaging 19.4 points per game. In the 2016–2017 season, he led the EuroLeague in free-throw percentage with an outstanding 95.9%.
