Fenerbahçe Men’s Basketball Team has reached a 2+1-year agreement with Lithuanian guard Ignas Sargiunas (1.94 m, 1999), who most recently played for BC Rytas.

The Lithuanian guard began his professional career with Zalgiris Kaunas 2 in 2015 before moving to the United States in 2018. Sargiunas started his college basketball career with the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2018-19 season and transferred to Colorado State the following year.

Following his time in the United States, the talented young player returned to Lithuania with BC Prienai. He went on to represent Medi Bayreuth in the 2022-23 season, Neptunas in 2023-24, and BC Rytas from 2024 onwards.

Sargiunas averaged 11.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists during BC Rytas’ championship-winning 2025-26 Basketball Champions League campaign.

Having represented the Lithuanian National Team at various age-group levels from a young age, the talented guard won a silver medal at the 2016 FIBA U18 European Championship held in Türkiye and a bronze medal at the 2017 tournament in Slovakia.

Sargiunas also featured for the Lithuanian National Team in the 2027 EuroBasket Qualifiers, recording averages of 19 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

We hope this agreement will be beneficial for both our Club and Ignas Sargiunas, and we wish him every success in the Yellow and Navy jersey as he begins competing for Fenerbahçe Men’s Basketball Team from the 2026-27 season onwards.
