Fenerbahçe Men’s Basketball has reached a two-year agreement with American forward Braxton Key (2.03 m, 1997), who most recently played for Valencia Basket.
Key played college basketball for the University of Alabama between 2016 and 2018, before representing the University of Virginia from 2018 to 2020. He won the 2019 NCAA Championship with Virginia.
Braxton Key began his professional career with NBA G League side Delaware Blue Coats during the 2021–22 season and signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in January 2022. In April 2022, the talented forward joined the Detroit Pistons and played for both the Pistons and Motor City Cruise on a two-way contract during the 2022–23 season.
The American player returned to the Delaware Blue Coats in January 2023 and won the NBA G League championship. In April 2023, he joined Puerto Rican side Vaqueros de Bayamón before returning to the NBA with the Denver Nuggets.
Following his time with the Denver Nuggets, Key was named Defensive Player of the Year while playing for the San Diego Clippers. After his spell with the Golden State Warriors, he joined Valencia Basket for the 2025–26 season.
In his first season with Valencia Basket, Braxton Key helped the team reach the EuroLeague Final Four and averaged 6.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and a performance index rating of 6.6 in the EuroLeague.
