Fenerbahçe arsaVev Women’s Football Team, who secured the first championship in their history with two weeks remaining in the 2025/2026 season of the Turkcell Women’s Football Super League, lifted the championship trophy in front of our fans on May 19, the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
In the 29th week of the league, our Women’s Football Team hosted Ünye Kadın Spor Kulübü at Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex on Tuesday, May 19, as champions. Our team defeated their opponent with a dominant 8-0 scoreline, and our historic championship was crowned with the ceremony held after the match.
The trophy was lifted in the hands of our players
Fenerbahçe arsaVev Women’s Football Team lifted the championship trophy amid the applause and chants of our fans, who witnessed this special moment of shared championship joy, and celebrated with great excitement. At our stadium, where a special stage was set up for the championship, the players and technical staff came onto the pitch one by one accompanied by songs. Our President Sadettin Saran congratulated our players and technical staff individually. During the ceremony, the trophy and medals were presented to Fenerbahçe arsaVev by Murat Şahin, Member of the Turkish Football Federation Board of Directors Responsible for 2nd and 3rd League Clubs.
As the trophy rose in the hands of our team captain Yağmur Uraz, our first-ever championship was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Before the match, regional gifts were presented to our Board Member Responsible for the Women’s Football Team, Ufuk Şansal, by Ünye Kadın Spor Kulübü President Deniz Benli.
The champions entered the pitch to applause from the opposing team
Our Champion Team came out for warm-ups wearing T-shirts that read, “Following Atatürk’s path, towards the future with the power of youth,” and walked out for the ceremony accompanied by applause from the opposing team’s players. Our team captain İpek Kaya was also presented with flowers by the opposing team captain.
Our team entered the field with a banner reading, “Happy May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.”
Our President Sadettin Saran and members of our Board of Directors also followed the match from the stands.
Fenerbahçe arsaVev started the match with the following XI: Natalia Munteanu, Zoe Van Eynde, İpek Kaya, Konya Plummer, Ümran Özev, Regina Otu, Peritan Bozdağ, Busem Şeker, Flourish Sabastine, Maria Alves and Andrea Staskova.
The goals that brought our team the victory were scored by Busem Şeker in the 28th and 90+4th minutes, Maria Alves in the 32nd minute, İpek Kaya in the 56th minute, Andrea Staskova in the 70th and 88th minutes, Yağmur Uraz in the 82nd minute, and Cansu Gürel in the 90+1st minute.
Recording their 26th league victory, our Women’s Football Team increased their points tally to 80. With the win over Ünye Spor, our team raised their total number of goals scored this season to 131, while conceding only 8 goals.
Fenerbahçe arsaVev will visit Fatih Vatan Spor on Sunday, May 24, in the 30th and final week of the league.
