Fenerbahçe hosted Polish side Górnik Zabrze in the club's first official match of the 2026–27 season. Dominating the game from start to finish, our team secured a 1–0 victory thanks to a free-kick goal from Talisca. Fenerbahçe also struck the woodwork twice during the match. The second leg will be played in Poland on Wednesday, 29 July 2026. The first leg of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round was held at Chobani Stadium, Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex. Our supporters packed the stands and displayed banners conveying messages of unity and solidarity. One of our new signings, Nathan Aké, started the match in the starting XI, while Mason Greenwood came on in the 83rd minute to make his official debut for Fenerbahçe.
