Fenerbahçe Opet Women’s Basketball Team Crowned EuroLeague Champions for the Third Time

Fenerbahçe Opet Women’s Basketball Team defeated Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring 68–55 in the EuroLeague Women final, becoming European champions for the third time in its history and bringing its fifth European trophy to the club’s museum. The team also earned the title of the Turkish club with the most EuroLeague championships.

Top Scorer of the Final: Emma Meesseman

Emma Meesseman led the final with 20 points. Iliana Rupert scored 14, while Julie Allemand added 13 points. Allemand also stood out with 10 assists and 9 rebounds.

Final Six MVP: Julie Allemand

Julie Allemand, who shined in the final with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists, was named the Most Valuable Player of the EuroLeague Women Final Six. The Belgian point guard received her award from FIBA Secretary General Kamil Novak.

Additionally, Emma Meesseman and Julie Allemand were selected to the All-Tournament Team of the Final Six.

Final Six Held in Spain

The EuroLeague Women 2025–2026 Final Six took place in Zaragoza, Spain, between April 15–19. The final featured an all-Turkish derby, with Fenerbahçe Opet facing Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring at Pabellón Príncipe Felipe.

After winning the EuroLeague title for the third time, the “Queens of the Court” celebrated their victory with great joy. The championship trophy was presented to the team by FIBA Europe President Jorge Garbajosa.

A Dominant 2025-26 Season

Fenerbahçe Opet dominated the 2025–26 season by winning all four competitions they participated in. They claimed the Presidential Cup for the 14th time and the Turkish Cup for the 15th time, holding the record in both. The team also completed the league season undefeated, securing their 8th consecutive and 20th overall league title.

Reaching their 7th EuroLeague final, the team won the trophy for the third time, becoming the first Turkish women’s team to achieve this feat. They had previously won the EuroLeague in the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 seasons.

Head Coach Miguel Méndez’s 4th Title & Meesseman’s 7th

Head coach Miguel Méndez won his 4th EuroLeague Women title, having previously lifted the trophy with Ekaterinburg in 2018, 2019, and 2021.

Star player Emma Meesseman celebrated her 7th EuroLeague title—three with Fenerbahçe Opet and four with Ekaterinburg.
