The appeals committee of the Turkish Football Federation have rejected our calls to re-evaulate the decision to close the Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium to fans for one game. Our club had appealed against the decision which was made because of an alleged shooting in the stadium.
A statement made after the decision read: "Police reports show that the event occured within the stadium and that many fans entered the ground without tickets. The timing of the decision was deemed not too late and no other factors were seen against the decision. The ban will stand as announced."
Vice President Mahmut Uslu reacted, saying the decision came too late and is "unfair".
